Well I'm just about to leave for the Miracle Fleet walk. A Miracle, by the way, is a small sailing dinghy. At the sailing club we're organised into fleets and every year John and Silla organise a walk to which many of us turn up. They're brilliant at it; the walk isn't too hard and in the middle is a pub lunch. A gentle time with friends, conversation wandering around not very important issues; just a time to enjoy people I like.
This is good and I'm looking forward to it, even though it's started to rain ( I do hope that it stops, there was some lovely sun when I awoke). I value this time that has no great purpose. So often in my life I'm driven by purpose, what must be achieved, what must be done - and frankly church is often just as bad: purpose driven ... pah. It's good to take a break from all that.
So I'll 'see' you all when I get back. I hope that you'll have some time to dwell with friends this weekend.
